The Lagos Leather Fair 2019 kick-started with a secret auction on the 6th of September 2019 held at the prestigious Wheatbaker Hotel, where some selected seasoned designers from LLF2019 showcased some of their Exclusive pieces to key players in the industry. Then the official event which took place on Saturday, September 7, 2019, and Sunday, September 8, 2019, at The Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos was themed, “Advancing the conversation”.
The event was officially opened on the first day by a representative of the First Lady of Lagos State Mrs Otuyalo. The activities of the first day included three conversations and one workshop. The first conversation titled “Creativity & The Law: How to Protect Design and your Brand” had John Asein, Chinyere Okorocha and Annie Obi as speakers. The second conversation with the topic “Talking Money: Understanding your Numbers to Access Capital” also had Adenike Ajayi and Olutosin Oni as speakers. While the third conversation titled “Business lessons” featured a one-on-one with Mark Stephenson, Managing Director of Sandstorm Kenya and Omoyemi Akerele, Convener Lagos Fashion Week.
