Nouva Couture Unveils SS19 Collection Tagged “Undone Glamour”

morsi media
Nouva Couture has released the lookbook to its SS19 collection — Undone Glamour — inspired by the label’s past collections and designs.
According to a press statement from the brand, “It is for the understated woman, one who undoubtedly loves fashion but would rather give an austere statement with her presence and of course, her outfit.
We describe her as a woman who exudes a glamorous, understated, classy appearance in harmony with subtle-toned colors and discreet appeal. One who takes much interest in the mild but comfortable and delicate but pleasing sense of style. She loves a blend of the subtle, the bold with a splash of color!”
The SS19 collection consists of color schemes that perfectly interpret the beauty and style the Nouva Woman exudes such as Jester Red, Fiesta, Tumeric, Rose Pink, Black, Ivory and more color relationships.
The pieces are also an excellent choice for this season as they go with whatever mood, temperament, tone or weather!

X-Retail: SheTrades Edition, is sponsored by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) under the SheTrades Commonwealth project, which is empowering women-owned businesses across the Commonwealth.

Since its inception, the X Retail platform has focused on facilitating commerce, and creating access to market opportunities for fashion entrepreneurs to enable their businesses to generate sales; this is key to their sustainability and the industry’s ability to positively impact the economic landscape.  X Retail, which in the past has been on the line-up of the Lagos Fashion Week showcase in October, will for the first time, host a stand-alone event.

“Creating avenues for commerce is central to the SHF agenda. It was important we gave X Retail a stand-alone event that is truly reflective of the growth the platform has undergone over the years, as well as provide shoppers with  more variety and a tailored shopping experience” commented Omoyemi Akerele, Founder Style House Files & Lagos Fashion Week.

SheTrades (www.shetrades.com), a proud initiative of the International Trade Centre (ITC), was established to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, by connecting 3 million women to markets by 2021. The ITC SheTrades Initiative works with partners from around the world to create an ecosystem of integrated solutions that empower women economically through trade. ITC SheTrades through its activities, enables female entrepreneurs to improve the quality of their products and services.

In preparation for X Retail, ITC SheTrades in partnership with UPS, will be coordinating workshops on the 6th and 7th of June 2019, targeting women entrepreneurs within the ITC SheTrades network. The aim of these workshops is to further equip women-owned businesses with new skills to grow their various businesses, and the tools for wealth creation.

Following the completion of the workshops, will be X Retail on 8th and 9th of June, 2019.
