Last week , it was all pleasant surprises as two lucky winners from the Liam Fashion Agency facebook page who were treated to a lavish dinner at plush resto at the silverbird galleria - Saffron Restaurant and Bar. Lilian Unachukwu , the Bosslady of Liam Fashion Agency, hosted these two lucky winners to dinner while Waje a top hip hop songstress joined the little group as a surprise guest . It was an evening of fun and laughter for the small party of four .

MAVIN RECORD'S 1ST LADY- TIWA SAVAGE SCORES PEPSI ENDORSEMENT
Just when the champagne glasses are still clinking , First Lady of Mavin Records-Tiwa Savage.
has recently landed a multi-million naira endorsement deal with world renowned soft drinks giant-PEPSI. The deal is another first in the whole of Africa. She becomes the first ever artiste from Africa to be so endorsed by the world class brand. Already the commercial to launch her is in the works, so the massive unveiling would be happening soon. This endorsement deal was inked about a month ago with her management company (323 Entertainment), long before joining Mavin Records. She joins mega-rap star Nicki Minaj, who also recently inked a multi-million dollar deal with Pepsi, Nicki is the new international face of Pepsi, while Tiwa is proudly carrying the flag of Africa. Other Pepsi stars who had gotten such endorsements in the past are the likes of Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, Janet Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Aishwariya Rai-ex Miss World and Amitabh Bachchan in India etc who were at a point the face of Pepsi.
Tiwa has only ever released 3 singles into the market- Kele Kele Love, Love me, Love me Love me and the mad fantastic collabo with Don Jazzy- Without my heart. But she has always being known in the industry has a prolific song-writer, one of her songs, written for Fantasia got nominated for a Grammy a while back and she has another song out now, written for American Sweetheart- MONICA on her new album- New Life. The song is titled 'Catch Me' and it's one of the bonus tracks on the deluxe edition of the album.

Last week, Daviva- one of the leading print fabric companies n Nigeria, hosted some gentlemen of the press in a media day out. The event was to thank the media for their unflinching support since their 2 years sojourn in Nigeria and also introduce them to some of their new brands as well as their line up for events for the rest of the year . ALL HAIL THE QUEEN - ISABELLA - AYUK
The 25th anniversary of MBGN produced yet another pretty face as this years queen . With 32 beauty queens representing 31 states and the Federal Capital: all vying for the chance to wear the crown as the new MBGN 2012. The delegate from Cross-River- Miss Isabelle Ayuk was a few hours ago declared the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria- 2012. The lucky winner won for herself a brand new Toyota Corolla car donated by the Edo State government, also an unspecified cash reward, a Cartier wrist-watch, said to be worth a Million Naira- donated by Polo Ltd and a ticket from Lufhtansa Airlines- to go anywhere in the world, that the airline flies to. She would be representing Nigeria at the next Miss World Pageant coming up in Mongolia in August of 2012.
AFRICA FASHION WEEK LONDON 2012- MODELS CASTING CALL
The second edition of Africa Fashion Week London is getting nearer by the day. AFWL 2012 is on for August 3 & 4, 2012 at the Spitalfields Market Hall, a stunning venue that can accommodate 15,000 at a go.
The showcase would have 60 designers and about 40 exhibitors from all over Africa and Africans in the Diaspora. It would be a massive showcase during the London Olympics. Many are already preparing to have the best of showcase at the 2 days event.
So come this weekend, in preparation for the showcase in London, there would be a casting call at Adeyemi Lawson street, Ikoyi, Lagos. All models are invited .
Last year's edition was a fantastic experience and a glorious success, this year's would be bigger, better and definitely more successful.

In the December 2008, the Creative Director of Power fashion house Tiffany Amber Nigeria – Folake Folarin-Coker collaborated with one of her favourite muses – Tope Edu. The collection was so popular that it sold out on the actual day of the launch, this definitely was a first of its kind in Nigeria..
Amongst the faves in the collection was the Peter Pan Jacket which comes quilted and hand-embroidered .The Peter Pan Jacket is a runway success featuring in the Tiffany Amber A/W 2009 collection at the Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week where it was described as a piece that belonged in the white house in the wardrobe of Michelle Obama. It was then shown at Fashion Business Angola in 2010 and has since become a staple in Tiffany Amber collections.
