Sweet Oatmeal facial Scrub
Oatmeal is a typical ingredient in facial scrubs and this dressed-up at-home version will make you feel like you’re at the spa.Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons finely ground oatmeal
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 cup almond oil
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Apply to wet face, rubbing gently.
- Rinse well.
Sugar Scrub
The fine grains of sugar make for a gentle, yet effective exfoliate.
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup almond oil (vegetable works too)
- 10 drops essential oil (optional)
Instructions
- Mix the sugar and oil until well blended.
- Add drops of essential oil for fragrance, if desired.
- Apply the mix to wet skin in a circular motion with hands, washcloth, loofah, sponge or bath glove.
- Rinse well.
Baking Soda Exfoliate
Baking soda is extremely mild so it won’t irritate skin, plus almost everyone has it laying around.Ingredients
- 1-3 Tablespoons Baking Soda
- Water
- Essential oil (optional)
Instructions
- Combine baking soda with just enough water to make the mixture easy to apply to skin (1-3 tablespoons should do.)
- Add 1 or 2 drops of essential oil for fragrance, if desired.
- Apply the mixture with a wash cloth, massaging it into the skin as you scrub.
- Rinse well.
Sea Salt Scrub
Sea salt serves a dual purpose because it also detoxifies the skin by pulling toxins out of the body, plus it soothes aches and pains.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sea salt (you can substitute epson)
- 1/2 cup coconut oil (grapeseed and almond work too)
- 10 drops essential oil (optional)
Instructions
- Mix the salt and oil until well blended.
- Add drops of essential oil for fragrance, if desired.
- Apply the mix to wet skin in a circular motion with hands, washcloth, loofah, sponge or bath glove.
- Rinse well.
