Dbanj Signs Deal With Mercury Records UK

African pop giant and former Mo’hits boss Dapo ‘D’banj’ Oyebanjo has signed with Mercury Records, an imprint in the UK under the Mercury Records Group of Universal Music UK. Mercury Records is a record label operating as a standalone company in the UK and as part of the The Island Def Jam Music Group in the US; both are subsidiaries of Universal Music Group.

 Mercury Records lists D’banj on their official website as one of their acts alongside the likes of UK rock singer-songwriter Elton John, Soft Rock singer Taylor Swift Irish rock group U2, former The Beatles musician Paul McCartney and others. Mercury record handles the distribution of works produced by Island Def Jam Music Group, outside the US.

D’banj, recently signed with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, which is  also owned Island Def Jam. although he is not listed on the G.O.O.D Music/Def Jam official roaster on the label’s website. The Singer who recently parted ways with his former Mo’Hits label partner Don Jazzy has relocated to the US where he will continue to push his brand and music in the foreign music market. His Smash hit single Oliver Twist is set for release on May 14th

Lagos Aids Walk & Concert

Join Governor Babatunde Fashola, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kenneth Kaunda (Former President of Zambia), Pastor Ituah Ighodalo and many others to help raise awareness about HIV/Aids in Lagos state with a 10 km walkathon from Ebute Meta End of the Third Mainland Bridge through Carter/Adeniji Adele Bridge, Lagos. After the walk, attendees will then head to Freedom Park for the concert where artistes will advocate the need for people especially the Nigerian youth to live a safe and healthy life with regard to their sexuality.
