Mai’s journey into the Nigerian fashion industry started with the establishment of the MAI ATAFO INSPIRED in 2007, specializing in Suits, Red carpet dresses and Wedding dresses.

His designs are versatile, timeless and notably classy. His clientele cuts across various fashionistas in the  fashion, beauty and entertainment industry. Some of which are: Omowunmi Akinifesi, Adaeze Igwe, D banj, Stephanie Okereke, Kemi Adetiba, Isio Delavega e.t.c.

He has also style major tv hosts for the Future Awards, Hip-Hop Award and the Soundcity music video Awards.

Mai Atafo is the style editor for Genevieve Magazine and the brand manager for Guinness.

In July 2011, he launched his wedding collection- ‘WEDDINGS BY MAI’.......Busy Busy

 N stands for NEON and Mai is one of those few men who love to do a rerun on the color wheel.  As a fashion designer, this a a comfort alley for Mai to express his passion for clothes and colours and he has no doubt successfully achieved that thereby carving a niche for himself.  Apart from the bright coloured jackets, shirts or pants which he comfortably pulls of with class, Mai wasn’t afraid to make another fashion statement by wearing coloured shoes as well which is now a must have staple in a man’s wardrobe.
