Over the weekend , ace fashion designer - Zizi Cardow , was given a Chieftaincy title in far away - Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State. Also known as as Amb. Dr. Zizi Cardow,she was conferred the title of Ada Ejiaga ma 1 9 A daughter one goes to the world with ) . She alongside a few distinguished others were honored with various Chieftaincy Titles in recognition of their immense contributions towards the growth of the community and also because of their contributions towards the larger society.
One of the other distinguished personality honored yesterday was Lieutenant General Onyeabor Azubuike Ihejirika,the Chief of Army Staff.
The event was chaired by Senator Ike Omar Sanda Nwachukwu, a retired Army General and a former Foreign Affairs Minister who is the Ogbuagu Ndi Igbo, the Special Guest of Honor was the Governor of Abia State- His Excellency Chief Dr. Theodore Ahamefule Orji-Ochendo Ibeku, the royal father of the day was HRM Eze Dr. Sir Ezo Ukandu JP, Enyi na Obiangwu 1 of Imenyi.
We hear Dr. Zizi would be honored by another community with another Chieftaincy title, before the end of the year. Zizi is the initiator of Ikoro Ndi Igbo,a first of its kind Igbo Gala/Awards ceremony which seeks to celebrate and promote the cultural heritage( tradition & language) of Ndi Igbo, the awards ceremony/ gala night would be holding on December, 4, 2011 at the Civic Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.
